As an alternative, you could try to shoo the snake into a large garbage bag if the above method is too direct. You can guide the snake inside the bin with a broom by putting the bin on the ground. Avoid hitting or pushing the snake; you do not want to cause any injury. A rubbish bin with smooth sides prevents snakes from climbing out and allows safe relocation.

Snakes can be removed from a house using a shirt and pillowcase if they are inside. Your shirt or light blanket will be able to cover the snake, so fold it over and put it in the pillowcase. You can place the pillowcase in a garbage bin or large box so the snake may come out if desired. A lid with holes over the container is required.
