1 - The safest option is to set a snake trap.
If you can't get the snake yourself, hire a professional snake expert.
In order to catch a snake with thick gloves, you must be able to IDENTIFY the animal, and ascertain that it is non-venomous. Place it in a pillow case and relocate it.
As an alternative to handling the snake, if you are unable to identify it, or it cannot be reached, a snake hook or snake tongs, such as those below, can be used.

When you admire your garden in the heat of the day and enjoy spending hours bent over, there is nothing more unnerving than seeing a slimy, long body suddenly slither under your feet. As you pick rocks and weeds in your garden, the snake watches you. After this scenario occurs regularly, you will most likely become apprehensive when reaching into a bunch of vegetables, until ultimately you avoid your garden entirely. If you want to catch the snake, first determine what kind of serpent it is. You need to use a special touch if you are going to handle a poisonous snake. In the event the snake is not poisonous, you can proceed.

The animal can be placed in a pillowcase and transported to a safe location by vehicle if there is no nearby haven or sanctuary for the animal. When releasing the snake, gently point the head in the direction you want it to travel. When removing a snake from a pillow case, gently spread it out so that a good portion of the body is still covered. Place your pillowcase on the ground and walk away. You can reclaim the linen once the snake has slithered off.

A large trash can may be the best choice if the above method seems too direct. Broom the snake into the bin after placing it on the ground. Make sure you don't hit or push the snake inside. By using a bin with smooth sides, you can ensure the snake doesn't climb out and will make it easier to relocate it.

In case your snake is inside your house, you can remove it with a shirt and a pillowcase. You should place the snake in the pillowcase and your shirt/light blanket over it. If you have a garbage bin or large storage container, you can position the pillowcase inside to provide the snake with access to the open space.
