brisbane snake catcher
Despite the efforts of animal control officers and law enforcement, a glue trap was ultimately deployed to capture a venomous zebra cobra on a north Raleigh porch on Wednesday, capping a 48-hour case involving North Carolina media.
A red bucket was used to place the cobra in the bucket and to transport it to a location where all glue could be removed.
The WRAL cameras captured the striped snake crawling out of the siding of a Sandringham Drive house, onto the front porch. A hood was visible wherever it turned its head.
Camera crews had to be redirected after Animal Control officers confirmed it was a snake before moving in to try to capture it.
911 call from that same house sparked the search at the beginning of Tuesday.

The city of Raleigh, N.C., is the state capital. Despite hours of consultation and preparation of law enforcement and animal control officers, a venomous zebra cobra was captured on a north Raleigh porch on Wednesday night, highlighting the nearly 48-hour ordeal across North Carolina.
Cobra was placed in red bucket and moved to a safe location to fully remove glue from its body.
A striped snake was captured by WRAL cameras crawling onto a front porch on Sandringham Drive earlier in the day. As it lifted its head, the hood was visible.
When officers confirmed it was the snake, they walked back from the camera crew before moving in to try and capture it.
911 call from that same house sparked the search at the beginning of Tuesday.

Joan Nelson said she was relieved that the ordeal was over.
It makes me feel much safer, she said. Getting outside on my deck or stepping out on my deck gives me a sense of freedom. The snake, however, was in a terrible position.
There has been a missing zebra cobra in a north Raleigh neighborhood where a striped snake is laying out on a porch.
Zebra cobras are fast, can spit up to nine feet, and can spit at high speeds, making even morning dog walks dangerous. The African Snakebite Institute reports that this snake is very dangerous. A victim's nervous system could shut down if stung with venom.
Anyone who has been poisoned by the cobra will feel pain, swelling, irritation, vomiting, and diarrhea. Following a heavy fever and breathing problems, you might lose your breath and may die.
An enthusiastic veterinarian, Salina Locke treats all kinds of pets at Avian and Exotic Animal Care.
The cobra in this species usually does not bite. The venom from them, she said, is typically sprayed. She said they are extremely accurate and shoot straight for the eyes.
According to Locke, this snake is not suitable for keeping as a pet.
The majority of bites occur during sleep. Bite victims can experience health problems for decades, research shows.
It has been reported that police searched a home on 6917 Chamonix Place, near the location where the cobra was last spotted.
This home was visited four times by police during the month of March. They returned Monday and Tuesday after seeing the zebra cobra on a porch about a half mile away.
There are records in the county indicating Keith and Rebecca Gifford live at that address. The Facebook page containing Keith Gifford's name contains several photos of snakes that he claims to own.
On his TikTok account, Christopher Gifford has more than 460000 followers. According to one of his posts, he claims to have a 7-foot zebra cobra.
