What is UltraVNC? What Is UltraVNC and How Does It Work?
UltraVNC is a powerful, free, remote desktop tool. It's used by home users and corporations to synchronize their desktops, keyboards, mouse motions, and keyboard states. It can also serve many other purposes, including connecting two computers behind one firewall to allow two different computers on two separate machines to communicate via the Internet.

UltraVNC can sync two computers with Windows or Mac OS X to allow them to work offline. It is used between Windows-based computers running Vista Home Basic or Home Premium and Mac OS X Leopard through a browser. The client computer supporting Windows acts in the role of the "legate" by acting as the remote computer, which can be accessed via the Internet. It uses VNC network protocol to communicate directly with the other computer via secure/private networks over the internet.

To use UltraVNC, both computers that are involved must be running Vista or later. This will allow remote access via the internet to provide computer support. Each computer is provided with a unique local IP address, as well as a unique local name which it uses for its name itself. This prevents each computer from accidentally sharing a connection. Point your cursor at a location on your computer that can be used as your remote computer. UltraVNC offers many tools that allow you to surf the Internet and chat with friends. You can also send emails and send messages. This technology allows you access the Internet from anywhere in the world using your laptop or desktop computer. It's a feature not offered by other remote access tools.
