Joker Native by Michael Connelly
"Joker Seven" by David A. Before has lots of similarities to the predecessor"A Clockwork Orange", another dark comedy by the master crime novelist Tom Clancy. Like the original book, this book presents a complex and intricate plot that are told in 2 parallel and connected sessions. This publication has been widely praised by critics and has sold more copies than any of Prior's previous publication.

The story centers on a newly-trained personal detective who has to contend with personal conflicts when he's called to the scene of a brutal sexual attack. The victim is a attractive young girl who works as a call girl. Her beauty is tapped by the serial killer who makes the decision to kill her in order to fulfill a dark ritual that he thinks will grant him ultimate strength and liberty. This wicked man also plans to steal the identity of the upcoming infant inside her own life. He forces the appealing young girl to meet him in a secluded region and ambushes and kills her in cold blood.

After the incident, the detective is assigned to the case by his superior, Detective Inspector Harry Sloane. Sloane suspects the serial killer may have a link to other victims and goes to New York City to interrogate the alleged offender. During the course of their investigation, Sloane becomes suspicious of their motives of this serial killer along with his or her associates. He deduces that the girl Sloane is scheduled to meet is in fact the killer's future wife, and he compelled her to convince her to leave town to give birth to the child that Sloane is planning to save.

The second half of the novel concentrates on the mystery behind the birth of the child. It reveals the grisly method where the baby is abandoned in the maintenance of a household in rural Arkansas. His biological father is missing, and he's believed to have been murdered by the serial killer. Throughout sleuthing and interviewing people, clues are found that connect the killer to another crime he was involved , and he's eventually brought to justice. Here is the second half of the narrative that you get when you buy Joker Seven.

Throughout this thrilling book, there are various clues that are solved which become critical to solving this instance. One such hint includes the discovery of an unidentified man who had been seen near the scene of this crime. This man is associated with the criminal with a codex that was taken during the assault, leading the team to believe he might know more about the connection between the serial killer and this victim. Another important hint is that the discovery of a briefcase with information on how best to create a different kind of bomb. The information has been included on a credit card belonging to the suspect.

When the book closed with the investigation complete, there was still one more mystery to solve. Police Detective Sloane needed to monitor the man who'd given the credit card into the caller. He managed to track down him, but alas, the man he was looking for proven to be the prime defendant . The image description of these crimes perpetrated convinced Sloane that he should trust Harry's gut instinct concerning the instance, and he asked him to accompany him to Harry's office to consult with Harry regarding the situation.

The moment I completed reading this novel, I really felt sorry for Harry because he really felt he had been railroaded inside this book. He felt like the detectives attempting to utilize sleuthing techniques and secrets to get to the bottom of the offense. I also felt sorry for Nancy. She did everything she was supposed to do. Naturally, we mustn't overlook that the killer himself. He was cold heartedly smiling we forgot just how badly he murdered his victims.

I suggest this book to folks who love suspense and mystery. It is not simply a wonderful read; it also teaches you invaluable lessons about human character, forgiveness, as well as the perils of selfishness. Additionally, this storyline is extremely well composed. There were moments that I almost wanted to cry, but then I realized this was only made worse by how the serial killer was a repeat offender. Nevertheless, this story about a killer using a sadistic side and a thirst for revenge was just way too real to pass up.
