I watched the movie "Iron Knight" today.
Starring James Purefoy, Brian Cox, Derek Jacoby and many other actors.
In 1215, led by Cardinal Stephen Langton (Charles Dance), the rebellious barons of England forced King John of England to sign the Magna Carta - a document that established the rights and freedoms of both barons and all free citizens. But the treacherous king reneged on his word and gathered an army of Danish mercenaries, led by Tiberius (Vladimir Kulich), on the south coast of England, with the intention of returning the country to its former tyrannical rule.
But the cruel king's path is blocked by Rochester Castle, defended by a small band of rebels led by Knight Templar Thomas Marshall (James Purefoy) and Baron William D'Albini (Brian Cox). (Brian Cox). At the cost of incredible effort and unparalleled courage, the few defenders of the castle manage to defend it from the king's detachment of nearly 2,000 men, and Templar Thomas Marshall finds his love and military glory in the castle.
The costumes and special effects in the movie are excellent.
You have to see this movie because the director is a genius and the actors played their roles perfectly.
