眉毛要自然
自然的眉毛都是眉頭淡眉尾深，眉毛下邊緣清晰，上邊緣淺。而且求求不要韓式一字眉，並不一定適合每個人。畫眉最好按著自己原有的眉毛走向和眉骨走向來畫，才會自然，不然就會像有兩條眉毛，而且很不自然很死板。
如果是新手的話，可以盡量選用眉粉或者砍刀眉筆，這樣畫出來的眉毛過渡會比較自然，也更容易上手。如果不太能掌握力度，眉毛就可能會像蠟筆小新。
粉底色號的選擇
雖然亞洲人以白為美，但是過白的色號容易讓人看起來臉發灰，且顯得臉大。正確的方法就是選擇自然貼合的色號打底，然後在眼下、額頭、下巴這些位置用亮色遮瑕或者高光或者亮色粉底提亮，塑造臉周暗，臉中部亮的立體感。
而且也可以用較白的色號塗面中，較暗的色號作為陰影塗在臉頰的外部輪廓，起到一個自然過渡修飾臉型的作用。一定不要選用過白的粉底液，容易假面。
眼影搭配
黃色綠色等顏色的眼影比較難搭配，紅色又比較艷麗的顏色新手一般很難搭配得當，容易顯臟。眼影的作用就是給眼睛制造陰影，加強深邃感。
所以這就是大地色特別百搭的原因，因為大地色比膚色偏深一些，非常適合制造深邃感。買眼影不要一開始就買大盤子，因為新手可能不懂搭配，顏色太多瞭反而容易混亂。一開始從小的盤子畫，可以找到畫眼影的感覺，小盤子也可以很高級，還不用花時間煩惱顏色搭配。
