How to clean and reuse nail polish bottles?
When you reach the end of the nail polish bottle, pause before throwing it away. You can do even more with it!

To squeeze out the last of your nail polish:

Add a few drops of nail polish thinner to the bottle. Put the lid back on.

Give the bottle a good shake. The nail polish thinner will help release any condensed nail polish and make it usable again.

Use as usual until it is all gone.

To clean up the empty nail polish bottles:

1). Work on a surface that can produce stains. A good way to do this is to lay a few layers of newspaper on the counter and work on an old ice cream container placed on this paper surface.

2). Dump the bottle to empty any nail polish that will run off on its own. Pour into a container with a lid for proper disposal.

3). If there is dried nail polish residue, add a few drops of nail polish thinner or paint thinner to the bottle. Shake it around and put the remains in a covered container that can be properly disposed of. Do not flush it down the drain, as the contents can be hazardous to the environment.

If you find some dried polish stubbornly difficult to remove, add nail polish thinner to cover, then soak for about 5 minutes, then pick off any stuck-on polish with a toothpick.

4). Add some acetone to finish removing all polish residue. Cover tightly with the lid. Shake it for about a minute to remove any residue and pick up the last of the nail polish. This will also clean the brush. Pour into the container and dispose of the container properly.

5). Allow it to dry completely. Then rinse it off with soapy water.

6). If Nail Polish Bottle , clean the brush while cleaning the bottle. It may have already been cleaned with the bottle, but additional cleaning may be required after careful inspection. Allow it to dry completely before using it again.

If you are going to reuse the brush on your body, use only non-toxic cleaners on the brush, although even if it is for craft use only, non-toxic cleaners are a good idea.

If you do not need the brush but do need the cover, for example for one of the storage options, simply break the brush off at the highest possible point and dispose of it.

7). Dry completely again. Once dry, it can be reused.

Turn nail polish bottles into mini vases:

a. Decorate the bottle. Use nail polish from other bottles to paint a pretty pattern on the bottle. For example, flowers, stripes, patterns, etc. Let it dry.

b. Decide if you want to add other features. For example, you may want to stick with small faux gems, beads or sequins.

c. This small vase can be used to hold a small bouquet of dried flowers or leaves, or it can be used to hold incense sticks, or anything thin and long that you feel like decorating.
