و اهم شروط السلام هي العدل لان بدون عدل سيكون هناك عنف و العنف يولد الحرب و الحرب تمحو السلام ، و من الأمور التي تكون في وجود السلام: الاستقرار والنمو المجتمعي و تطور العالم
تكمن نتائج انتشار السلام في المجتمع في تحقيق الأمن الإنسانيّ والتّأكيد على أنّ الإنسان أهمّ من الأرض فالسلام يركز على الاولويات اولا ، فشعب يطالب السلام و شعب اخر يطلق عليه صواريخ فما الفائدة ؟! ط
كما يقول الله سبحانه وتعالى في كتابه العزيز: " وَإِن جَنَحُواْ لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ "، فالسلام هو الأصل في العلاقات بين الأشخاص والمجتمعات الإنسانية والدول و كما نعرف ان السلام هو اسم من اسماء الله الحسنى و هو ماخوذ من السلامة
قال الكاتب الايطالي ايرنيستو تيودورو مونيتا “لنعش بسلام حتى نموت بسلام فالصعوبة ليست في الموت بل في الحياة “ و قال ايضا في مقابلة صحفية له “ لا يمكنك العثور على السلام عن طريق تفادي الحياة“ ىىء
