merupakan salah satu makhluk mitologi Yunani yang dipercaya pernah hidup di dunia. Centaurus sendiri dipercaya berasal dari keturunan Ixion manusia biasa penguasa Thessaly. Hasil perselingkuhannya dengan Dewi Hera— Istri Zeus. Zeus yang cemburu atas “hubungan gelap” ini kemudian menciptakan kembaran Dewi Hera dari gumpalan awan dan menamainya Nephele. Suatu ketika Ixion berhubungan badan dengan Nephele karena mengira ia adalah Dewi Hera. Nephele akhirnya mengandung dan lahirlah anak mereka yang setengah manusia dan setengah kuda. Kemudian menamainya centaurus.
Keturunan centarurus terbagi dua yakni Sagittarius dan Kemantoridas. Sagittarius adalah centaur Jantan yang memiliki kebiasaan berburu, nomaden dan sangat ahli dalam ilmu perbintangan. Sedangkan Kemantoridas adalah centaur betina yang berbanding terbalik dengan sifat Sagittarius. Kemantoridas lebih suka menetap, bercocok tanam dan mempertahankan wilayah kehidupannya dari bangsa lain.
