I am writing to discuss the description of the project my team and I hope to work on.
We have decided to work on creating "Coloured Notes" using C#. The idea is to create a note-taking application where the user has the ability to set different priorities for his notes. Features include:
1- Categorizing: Notes shall be split into categories, where each category will contain relevant notes. By default there will be a personal, work and general categories, however we will also add the function for the user to add custom categories should he wish.
2- Add note: Notes shall contain a title, description, password, timer, priority and possibly date.
2.1) User shall be able to opt to add a timer to his notes, where after a set amount of time, he will be notified about the note.
2.2) Priority will be represented via colours. For example, Red colour represents a note of high priority, while black represents a note of normal priority.
3- Edit note: Notes shall be able to get edited, the user shall be able to edit the note's title, it's description, password and priority. Additionally the user can opt to "accomplish" the task, where the note shall be flagged as done, as well as the option to delete the note entirely.
As for the program, there will be two primary focuses, GUI, and C# code.
We will attempt to optimize the GUI to be as user friendly as possible- once the application opens the user will be asked to enter the category he wants, then he will be prompted to a screen containing the options to add a note, or view/edit a note where all notes will be previewed.
As for the code, following OOP method, we will use FileStream inorder to properly save the notes permanently. Contents of the notes will be loaded into possibly an ArrayList once the program opens to facilitate handling the data.
