When it comes to shipments weighing over 500 kilograms, air freight becomes uneconomic.
A China-US shipment can take up to 40 days or more by ocean freight, which generally costs $2-$4 per kg.
For about $5-8 per kilogram, a US-China shipment between 150 kg and 500 kg can be economically shipped via air freight and take 8-10 days.
The cost of express air freight is higher, but it is quicker.
If the package weight is less than 150 kg, it can be sent by courier (express freight).
