The human experience encompasses all aspects of life; success and failures, love and hatred, and death and life. The life of Pat, son of a violent and composive father and a submissive mother, describes perfectaly all aspects of the human experience. Pat lived a life of deceit in the past. He searched for a love that was not there, ignored his own illness, and ignored the one person who truly loved him. But Pat did not let these negative aspects of his life slow him down. Pat was able to see a postive in everything. Pat learned through hardship, that postivity is key to living a succesful life. By accepting that life is meant to be lived in a postiive manner, Pat accpeted that the human experience is flawed. He found his true love and accomplished much with his life.

The movie teaches us that being human is rooted in helping others. Helping another only evokes positive results. For example, by helping Tiff, Pat only saw positives as a result. He was able to accomplish a feat in dancing that he would never have felt was possible. He accpeted that his past life was dilustional and that Nicki was not his true love.
