Do you think artists should use their music in the advertisements they're featured in? I am writing this essay to oppose the use of an artist music in ads. I firmly disagree with the use of an artist, music and advertisements for these reasons. The first reason is there so much hype around how difficult it is to make it in the music industry. The second reason is it ruins the way an artist manages their career. The third reason is. Is. Music should be appealing or it could leave the artist suffering. The fourth reason is fans will can be disappointed you if you let your music be used in advertisements. Lastly, the fifth reason is selling the music Could leave an artist image shattered. These are the reasons. Why an artist music should not be used in advertisements.
The first reason is there is so much hype about how difficult it is to make it in the music industry. According to source 2, paragraph 6, page 5, lines 1-2.” with so much... bigger audience.” these lines. Talk about the reason why it is so difficult to make it big in the music industry. They also talk about Well-established artist who seemingly have little to gain from these deals end up having the most to lose. this source also talks about. People often tired of hearing the same music every time they turn on the radio. I can relate this to an ad I watched with an artist music. These are the reasons why an artist music should not be allowed in advertisement.
the second reason is. It ruined the way an artist manages their music career. According to source 1, page 5, paragraph 1, lines1-10.” And while this... her career.” These lines explain how the artist music in advertisements has shattered the traditional model of how an artist manages his or her career. It also explains the whole idea of buying music to own, may be falling by the wayside. these
The third reason is music should be appealing, or it could leave the artist suffering. According to source one, page 5, paragraph 5, lines one through 10.” Artist must develop... business landscape.” These lines speak on the fact that artists must develop an image that appeals to their fans. These lines also Speak on the fact that corporate sponsorships can be risky for musicians. This source also speaks on the fact that if an artist doesn't endorsement deals, fans can stop listening to the musician in affect leaving the artist suffering. I can relate this to. A documentary I watched about a rapper who took an endorsement deal and fans stop listening to him. This clearly demonstrates that music should be appealing.
The fourth reason is fans can be disappointed in you for letting your music be used in ads. According to Source 2, paragraph 9. Page 6 ,lines 1-15.” mini songs are... the commercial.” These lines say Certain fans will stop listening to you if you allow your music to be used in advertisements. These lines also say friends friend can be left feeling betrayed if the musician lets her music be used in advertisements. This source also says fans were. Disappointed in musician Neil Young for letting his music be used in a U.S. presidential candidate. I can relate this to an article I read about rap musicians.
Lastly, the fifth reason is selling the music could leave the artist image shattered. according to source two paragraph nine, page 6, lines 1-15.” If a band... the commercial.” These lines discuss. when outside interest enters the mix. They can replace the passion in an artist music. These lines also discusses how artist Rober Schnieder says it took him days to not associate the song with the ad. This source also discusses how ads can take away the focus of what really matters the music. I can relate this to a movie I watched about Robert Schreiner. also unquestionably shows the selling the music could leave an artist image shattered.
In conclusion, I believe that it is difficult to make it in the music industry. Add ruin the way an artist manages their career. Music should be appealing. Fans can be disappointed. And selling musical, even artist image shattered. Do you think musicians should sell their music to companies for commercials?
