Bernhard Burgener , David Degen and their disagreement regarding FC Basel's owner's name is just the beginning of their dispute. The Board of Directors supports Burgener's plans. However, there's no agreement.
The Monday morning session was of FC Basel Holding AG's Board Directors. Burgener, Degen, Karl Odermatt, and Peter von Buren all approved the original owner's plans. According to a document released by the holding company Degen requested Degen to sell his stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
To do this in doing so, the Board of Directors relies on a contractually stipulated law that permits Burgener to transfer its shares to the shareholders of minority shareholders on the same terms. According to the Board of Directors this so-called drag along right overrides Degen's rights to presale.

This is a right he wants to exercise for 16.4million francs. Burgener was able sell his stake of 80 percent to Basel Dream & Vision AG, but Degen has an injunction to stop the sale. Centricus is an British asset management firm will also have a stake. Burgener will still have the majority of votes.
According to FC Basel Holding AG announcement, Burgener is quickly seeking an out-of-court settlement "in interest of FCB".
