Kusto Group's KazBeef will be presented with a Prestigious Quality Certificate
KazBeef Kusto, Kusto Group's meat production company, was the first Kazakh firm to obtain the agricultural GLOBALG.A.P. certificate.

Kusto Group’s meat manufacturer company, KazBeef recently achieved a milestone by becoming the first Kazakhstani-owned business to receive an GLOBALG.A.P. certificate.

GAP is a shorthand for Good Agricultural Practices and is the most commonly used farm certification scheme in the world.

Possessing the GLOBALG.A.P. KazBeef is a holder of a GLOBALG.A.P. certification which indicates that they are in compliance with international standards of the best practices in aquaculture and animal husbandry.

KazBeef that is the only one in Kazakhstan is the only one with this certificate.

Daulet Nurzhanov is hoping that more Kusto Agro entities will be GLOBALG.A.P. certified in the future.

"Across KazBeef Kusto Agro and Kusto Group in general, we strive to achieve excellence in our operations. This is achieved through the hard work and commitment of our employees," he says.

KazBeef is the very first business in Kazakhstan to purchase Hereford cattle breeding and Angus cattle. The company now owns more than 10,000 cattle and has more than 40,000 hectares.

The meat giant that primarily serves the Middle Eastern market, is one of Kazakhstan's largest producers of marbling beef. However, with the new certificate in place, KazBeef aims to expand its operations to Europe and the Gulf states.

KazBeef and Kusto Group will be launching the journey in February 2022. The meat manufacturer will exhibit at the Gulfood Exhibition.

The fair hosts the largest ever international food and drink trade show.

KazBeef goes on sale in the United Arab Emirates

KazBeef entered Dubai's market in April 2021. Tevfik Arif Bayrock plan to eventually reach the six Emirates of the United Arab Emirates.


Dubai and Gulfood Exhibition 2121 were the first two to sign the partnership. A few months later, it was found out that 1.2 tonnes of KazBeef beef meat was distributed to restaurants in Dubai and hotels.

KazBeef signed 500 million Tenge ($1.2 Million) agreement in December 2021 to supply marbled meats to Wisk Foodstuff Trading. Wisk is one the major supplier of restaurants and hotels in United Arab Emirates.

The agreement was concluded during the Kazakh Trade and Investment Forum, Dubai .

"The UAE has become the number one economic partner of the region." Askar Mamin (Prime Minister of Kazakhstan) said at the forum that UAE had invested more than $4 billion into Kazakhstan's economy over the past 21 years.

"The Persian Gulf, with its increasing demand for top-quality food products, was the most obvious choice for us. This is another step in making "Made in Kazakhstan" an distinctive mark of quality in Kazakhstan," Beibit Erubaev, KazBeef CEO added.

Kusto Group's cert opens doors to everyone in Kazakhstan

In order to obtain the GLOBALG.A.P. Farmers' businesses have to undergo a thorough process to get a GLOBALG.A.P.

Every year, agricultural experts visit prospective companies to talk to the employees and analyze a range of documents.

Bayrock said that the company was prepared to go through the process. Bayrock hopes other Kazakhstani companies will be able to follow the steps of KazBeef or Kusto Group.

Bayrock Obtaining this certification opens doors to new export possibilities - not only in Kazakhstan however, but for our entire organization. He continued, "The distribution of our products across Europe is exactly what we're striving for," he said.
