What is Roundup Readiness? Roundup Ready is a trademark that refers to a variety of genetically engineered crops which are resistant to Roundup. These crops are called 'Roundup Ready crops'.
Roundup Was it really created?
Glyphosate, the active agent in Roundup, was first discovered as an herbicide in the year 1970 by Monsanto chemist, John Franz. Pre-emergent herbicides were widely used in the agricultural sector at the time. They were applied before the crops or weeds emerged. Glyphosate's post-emergent activity in the control of large quantities of grass weeds and broadleaf weeds was quite different.
