The third mistakes players often make is they don't have any sort of betting strategy. Do you know how much you plan to bet in what positions and with what cards? Do you have a plan on how much you are going to bet regarding your stack size and your opponents stack sizes?

One of the main problems I used to have with c-bets was that I used them every single time I raised before the flop. It was just what I believed - what kind of whimp would make a raise before the flop and then check? It just didn't seem right to make a preflop raise without a continuation bet.

To determine which cards are premium starting hands, I use rankings based on percentages. The percentages found in the figures are the probability the listed hole cards would win if the hand should go to the river at a full table of nine or ten players. The probability of having Ace-Ace as the hole cards and subsequently winning increases from 31% with nine opponents to over 85% in heads-up play. The reason for this dramatic difference is that in ten-handed play, any of your nine opponents can win the hand. Taking the individual statistics of each of the nine other hands and adding them together, at best, the sum equals 69%.

The bubble is the last person eliminated without winning money. In a standard 1table Sit n Go tournament, the person eliminated in 4th place is the bubble player. Many people play TAG at the bubble.
