Youtube continues to show advertisements to my child as he watches baby shark videos and other similar channels.

It has been a concern since the moment I given my daughter the tablet as well as the Youtube channels that were specifically designed specifically for infants. It is believed that they aid in the development of babies, improving cognitive and other functions as they progress both mentally and socially. My daughter loves the content. She keeps staring at it, her eyes shining, her laughter ready for her lips. It's enjoyable to watch her being entertained. However, I do not know what the commercials. My child is not a consumer, why do you insist on pushing some of the most un-baby-like advertisements onto my baby on Youtube?

Firstof all, babies don't comprehend commercials. This is both a waste and a waste of money. They're not babies. If they can't comprehend what you are saying Why do you play these ads to them as little infants? Does that mean that if the father, mother, or other baby caregivers are watching, then the ads could be of benefit to those watching? It's a bit unclear to me, and is becoming frustrating.

It's the same with cat videos. My cat is a huge fan of these incredible cat videos. Most of the time, it's mice or birds but the thing is my kitty watches them not moving for hours... Hunting? I think so. These videos are frequently interrupted by ads. What are they trying for? My cat isn't one of the viewers of these videos. Advertising is not relevant to her. They might think that I'm watching these videos with my cat. While they might be partially right, I've found that I am watching these videos of cats with my cat more often than anything else useful.

That's how I came across the perfect solution. It boils down to downloading Youtube videos to my laptop or computer and playing them directly from there later; like if I were offline and required a more robust copy of the video on my hard drive, rather than streaming it over and over on Youtube. Are you able to see what I'm referring to? I discovered this website which allows me to save the video on my computer, instead of logging onto Youtube every time my cat is looking for birdies. It allows me to double-click an mp4 file on my computer, which plays in VLC immediately and doesn't contain any commercials.

This is also true for all videos for babies and channels. It's simple to find videos that my daughter likes and then download them from Youtube and copy them to her table. Even if it's be just a few songs, I'll do it on her tablet. It's easier to use this website using my desktop computer, and then drag the files to wherever you want. Perhaps it's me being old-school.


This is an excellent method to reduce the use of mobile data. Until downloading videos from Youtube was a reality, I had to always connect my tablet to the internet via hotspot on my mobile or I would even have a special data plan specifically for the tablet when we traveled for an excursion.. y to mp4 Data can be very expensive when you're roaming it... So, my data usage dropped by 3-4 times. Now we were able to roll over a little data to the following months. This was quite a shocker for us, usually we'd pay to use our monthly limit three or four times.. That's why I recommend to all young parents and cat owners who love their pets: get your videos downloaded from Youtube or other sites onto your device, save to mp4 file format and watch videos any time later without additional data usage.
