Craps

The key to understanding the mathematics of craps is to understand the dice combinations, or probabilities. In my strategies, we only want to play the bets that have the best probabilities of winning. These are the pass line with odds, come bets with odds, occasional place bets on the 6 and 8, don't pass laying the odds, and don't come either with or without laying the odds.

The house percentage in craps falls to 0.8% if you make the above-mentioned wagers. To reduce the house percentage, you can take only one odds on the pass line and come bets. This will reduce it to the 0.8 %... single odds. To reduce it further to the 0.6 %... tri odds. To make more info as dead even, you can reduce it to the 0.5 %... triple odds.

At seminars, I am often asked why place and come bets aren't as profitable as they used to be. It all comes down to the dice combinations. A place bet can be used to illustrate this point. Placing a bet directly on the number 5 (also known as place bet) can only win on four combinations of dice: 1-4, 4-1 and 2-3. That's it! The bet is lost if a 7 is rolled. There are 6 possible combinations. Based on just the dice combinations, it's 6-4 or 3-4 against you.

Let's examine a come bet. If the come bet is placed in the come area, it will win on a seven or 11, for a total eight dice combinations, and lose on a 2, 3, 12 or 12 for total of 4 dice combinations. That's 6 to 4, or 2 to 1 in your favor for the immediate win versus an immediate loss. This means that if the come bet is placed on the 5, it has an additional 4 combinations of dice to win. The come bet that began in the come area and ended at the 5 had 12 combinations of dice to win, while the place bet on 5 had only 5 combinations. That is a significant advantage. This analysis can be used for any place bet.

When you consider that all come bets can be placed, the casino advantage is 6.7% for place wagers on the 4-10; 4% for place wagers on 5-9; 1.5% place bets upon the 6-8 and 8. A come bet is 0.8% with one odds. It has the exact same odds and odds as a pass line with single odds.

To win in craps, you must minimize the casino's advantage and use money management to capitalize on all streaks, do or don't. That's why the Benson Strategies exist.

Blackjack

Blackjack is the only online casino game where the benefit or disadvantage of each card can change. The game itself favors 4% the house, because if the dealer breaks, guess who takes the money. The house, naturally!

This house advantage can be reduced to 1.5% by playing basic strategy. This alone makes it a great game. A good foundation and money management can lead to a positive return.

Simple hi-lo counts are good for single deck games, and card clumping is good for shoe games. These are the most common methods of tracking. The 1% advantage is the highest expected mathematical return for expertly played blackjack.

Baccarat

Baccarat can be described as a game of negative expectation (just like craps or roulette). This means the house always wins. This means that mathematically, there is no way to place the odds in the favor of the player. This is only possible with perfect blackjack count (which is the reason they don't let players win a lot).

Following the trend is how we win at Baccarat. A trend will develop in any random or near random series of events. You won't have enough lay to determine statistical significance, as these numbers depend on a lot of play. You could be skewed in one direction: 50% more players than bankers for instance (which would be very nice, by the way).

Because there is so much activity, the casino has real statistical significance. Gaming is the only way they can lose. They only have to lose when they do not get enough players or are subject to typical business loss/profit scenarios. However, they don't lose the gaming itself. It is not possible. However, it is possible for the casino lose to players. Because play free online games have enough players, the casino can make up the losses.

This last point matters. Because unless you play 24 hours a day, you will never be playing by the same mathematical statistics as the casino. This is eliminated immediately by our money management and departure rules. A bad play and/or lack of discipline will not win the Baccarat player.
