Bernhard Burgener is suing David Degen in the FC Basel ownership dispute. Burgener's plans are backed by the Board of Directors. However, there's no agreement.

Burgener, Degen, Karl Odermatt and Peter von Buren voted in favor of the previous owner's plans. According to a report from the holding company he requested Degen if he would sell his stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
Burgener is allowed to sell its shares to minor shareholders according to a legally enforceable law. According to the Board of Directors, this drag-along rights is preeminent over Degen's pre-sale right.
Burgener and his group have made an attempt to settle the dispute between the owners. Degen insists on exercising his right of first refusal which he is seeking to exercise in exchange for 16.4 million francs. Burgener has been prevented from selling his stake of 80 percent due to the ex-player's super-provisional order. Centricus, the British asset manager, could also be able to purchase a stake. Burgener would hold the majority of the votes.
According FC Basel Holding AG's announcement, Burgener & Degen are seeking an out-of court settlement "in the best interests of FCB."
