B. Answer the following questions:
1. Why a caregiver should be more of a listenerthan a talker? sometimes caregiver need to listen than talk to help clarify what they want to say and being an active listener shows that you care. this could build confidence and keep the lines of communication open
2. How can a caregiver help in the psychological needs of a patient? caregivers convey that helping patients to cope with emotional distress such as depression, anxiety, fear and resentment. caregivers reported less confidence helping patients with their emotional needs than their physical needs.
3. Why is communication important in a caregiver patient relationship? you need to communications to understand eachother, ask questions, express wants and needs, develope social relationships. it is important to express oneslef
4. How can a caregiver resolve complaint if the patient feels depressed especially of the limitations he/she encounter? keep the patient involve in their own health. Whenever possible, try to sit so that you form a triangle and can address both the patient and companion face-to-face. Be careful not to direct your remarks to the companion. This will help you prevent the encounter from feeling like a "two against one" match.
