1. Pengertian paduan suara
adalah Penyajian musik vocal yang terdiri dari 15 orang atau lebih yang memadukan berbagai warna suara menjadi satu kesatuan yang utuh dan dapat menampakan jiwa lagu yang dibawakan.
2. 4 macam suara dalam paduan suara dalam umumnya: sopran , alto , tenor dan bass.

A. Jenis suara : campuran , wanita , pria dan anak
B. Jumlah penyanyi : kelompok vokal (3-12 penyanyi),Paduan suara kecil atau paduan suara kamar (12-28 penyanyi) & Paduan suara besar (lebih dari 28 penyanyi).
C. Genre : Paduan suara simfonik, Paduan suara opera, Paduan suara lagu keagamaan (musica sacra), Paduan suara lagu popular, Paduan suara jazz , Paduan suara lagu rakyat dan Paduan suara pertunjukan (show choir).
