How to stay current with the music of your home country even though it's been 10 years since you left.

How are you doing? I am an 18-year-old Russki man who moved to America in search of better things in life. I was poor in Russia and never had any wealth. It's not me, per-say. However, my family. Russia was a country in which young adults were not required to have money until they were older. Thus, we needed to come up with new ways to make money. There are many schemes available, with the majority are similar to alcoholics asking for money from their friends to purchase their communal vodka bottle. The concept is similar. We would look for quick money to buy bread or to get to work. We always had food cravings.

So, I arrived in America. It's a long way away from New York, Brooklyn and Brighton Beach. This place truly reminds of the home of my childhood. It's noisy, filthy and packed with Russian languages, and the people are rude. I've spent a fair amount of money in Russian restaurants and bookstores.

It is now possible to browse Russian literature online, which has been the case in recent times. This is why I have stopped purchasing books in hard copies as I don't have any space in my home, and my wife is quite an avid hoarder, and I do everything possible not to contribute to that by not buying new stuff that I don't have to store in the house, since I don't have a place for it... Stacks of books looks intelligent first few months, then they seemed sad until I put them in garage, where there's still some space left for my stuff..

Music, however, is something else. Because my job requires me to drive often and I am a huge fan of music. As a Russian native, I've not been able to appreciate any new music that I have discovered in the USA.. I do not like hip hop or rap. And all the new age things that make kids want to dance. Old Russian music is something I treasure along with songs with Russian origins from jail. They are still extremely popular in Russia even after twenty years. Youtube currently has all the data. You can follow me on Youtube throughout the day, and even after hours.

So, after some time I created a playlist of more than 300 songs that I truly love. Because there are over 300 songs, it's easy to get used to the music. However, when I want to play them in my car I don't have Internet to use, and I need it for driving or to navigate. I prepare the playlist at home. I'm on the top of the list. I now record some songs from Youtube into MP3 files. After that I burn the MP3s onto my computer , and then take the CD into my car. This website lets you access your Youtube playlist and print the songs. Each song can be stored on your computer as an MP3 file. It's then simple to convert it to an audio CD. Sometimes, I create data discs, but it doesn't play in the car stereo. However it is possible to record audio. It's amazing to look at how technology is working. It's not necessary to log on to the internet or use any other gadgets to play MP3. Simply insert the CDs into the stereo and can hear Russian music blasting in Manhattan.


It's simple and cheap to save videos from Youtube in MP3 format. After that, you can download them onto your Smartphone. I watched a friend of mine connected his smartphone to a car stereo, and it was playing high-quality sound, just in 2 seconds. Also, it was possible to stream Spotify and Pandora radio, which means there's no need for a lot of internet. I'm going to try this later.. Of course, I'll be careful not to utilize any free wifi.
