According to clinical experience, the use of PPH in the treatment of severe prolapsed annular hemorrhoids is much more effective than the traditional external and internal ligation, which has less pain, less anal injury, faster postoperative recovery and can make up for the high cost of operation.
However, PPH is not the first choice for medium-term hemorrhoids or severe hemorrhoids with a few hemorrhoid nuclei (3) flowing out of the anus.
