Yok denecek kadar az İngilizcemle biraz internet araştırması yaptım, bulamadım. Kurtuluş dizisinin tanıtım notlarında geçiyor genellikle. O dizinin senaryosu da Turgut Özakman'ın Şu Çılgın Türkler'inden uyarlandı.
Özakman'ın kitabında o sözün kaynağı olarak Atatürk Araştırma Merkezi dergisinin 14. sayısında Prof. İsmet Giritli'nin yazısı gösteriliyor.
Giritli'nin yazdığı kısım şöyle:
"İngiliz İşçi Partisi Lideri Mac Donald, İngiliz Parlamentosunda Başbakan Lloyd George’tan hesap isteyince, kürsüye gelen Lloyd George özet ile; 'Asırlar nadir olarak dahi yetiştirir. Şu talihsizliğe bakınız ki, o büyük dahiyi asrımızda Türk Ulusu yetiştirdi. Mustafa Kemal’in dehasına karşı elimizden ne gelir?' diyor." İngiliz Meclisinin internet arşivinden 19 Ekim 1922 tutanaklarına ulaşmaya çalıştım ama olmadı.
