Buy and Sell Old Phones

it's time to start being honest I've had that I had the s7 for 2 years now , and as an avid user of the latest and most advanced technology everyday it's gotten me wanting a new phone the thing is that I don't need to pay a thousand dollars and I don't need a phone that was released yesterday, so I'm going to show you how to get a quality used phone . I'm Biden s9 plus and I'm not here to advise you on which device to buy. I'm sure you'll sound off in the comments about your favorite phones and what you would consider buying, however what I'm doing is tell you the best buying practices for a used device the most secure and secure methods prior to any of that though it is important to keep in mind that phones are released in cycles, and you can choose between better and worse times to purchase certain phones which is why I called Chris Welch reporter here at the edge and was just like Chris is the best time to buy an S 9 Plus, so there's pretty clear timelines that can be drawn out. It's either a good or not to purchase a new phone. iPhones release every September so your relation violent if it's the month of July or August. Samsung releases Samsung's Galaxy S at the start of every year in March or April. Then it follows up in the summer. Google releases pixel updates in October generally. Apple and Samsung both update their designs every two years then between the two years, there's a more powerful version of the same phone that has better specs and as well as a more attractive camera. the one we refer to as the S in this case, so the issue is do you want to get the new flashy design right away or wait one year for the more powerful and refined version of the similar phone. Google is a bit different because the pixel generally hasn't been using the same design more than once. However, there's a chance that you'd be completely satisfied with the phone that you had last year. You do not require an aural engine for browsing social media or snapdragon 845 in order to listen to Spotify, in that case you'd be totally confident in buying the s9 + right now, and considering it's less than a year old buying it second hand will save you at least $100 and get you a great phone okay so we're lucky that it's a great time to buy a used s 9 plus but where to begin? There are a lot of different options personally I always go to Craigslist and eBay. Craigslist first Craigslist can be a little bit of a slippery slope in the event that a phone is stolen, and you try to switch it on to see the serial number start to flag to stolen you'll be out the phone and cash and will have no relationship to the seller. So in this video, I'm going to skip it entirely but let's take a look at eBay. eBay has a number of listings. I went on Samsung's website to see what an all new s9 plus cost would be. It's about eight forty dollars, so I'm going to try and beat that now for my own sake. I'm going to browse through Verizon because it's my network. There are a lot devices however you'll need to research on your own to figure out if they'll work on your network. I've scanned through many listings and found this one this is the most intriguing. It's the Samsung Galaxy S 9 plus 64 gigs for $549 . me this looks nice because the images are crisp and clear. I can tell there's no scratches on the device . Wow, they have a lot of five-star reviews, 760 of them positive and only six negative ones when the seller has lots of good reviews like this it's usually a pretty good sign that they're safe to purchase from also when searching I've noticed a lot of stock photos being used for the phone's image that you need to stay away from it's really important to see your device in the photos and maybe that means reaching out to the seller asking for a photo of something particular to make sure it's the phone and that he has it . So second hand mobile phones on eBay that's pretty good but if you know me at all, you'll know that I'm all about buying deals so I'll keep shopping there's this website called Olx that I really like you're still buying person-to-person so there is some risk, but there's a lot more protections to ensure that you're buying the exact that you're actually looking at There are a few listings of the S9 Plus on the site. They range from 500 to $800 that mostly is related to the storage, but I'm looking for the 64 gigabyte model so it's not a major issue for me. I'll probably be closer to the bottom and this one seems quite good for 514 dollars if you look at the photos you'll see that there's an identifier in the photos that's one of the safeguards that swapper offers it is the code for the Sal so the phone that you're seeing in the photo is the phone for that listing I'm gonna scroll down to read the comments then maybe I'll go in and I'll who the seller is who sold items here before kind of all similar steps to eBay okay so this looks quite good. Another security measure is that SWAPO does not allow sales of broken or non-functional devices. Currently, since you are buying used it does not come with the warranty, so if later on the line something happens to the phone or it malfunctions out you're on your own to get it repaired if you want a little assurance when purchasing an older phone you might consider looking at refurbish models. They have a warranty in case of a problem down the road they'll replace the phone for you. You can buy reefers from several different locations, including the manufacturer and your carrier, but there are also sites like gazelle or Best Buy and they often offer cheaper rates on these rather decent models. Buy's site is a bit difficult to navigate and is unable to locate refurbs, but if you scroll all the way to the bottom where you'll see the words "buying options" that's where you'll see them and you can now purchase an open boxes online. They're a little more expensive or when you visit the store, they'll have less expensive options but it's probably because they want you to actually look at it and know the product before leaving the store. Hence, gazelle.com offers certified pre-owned models and also an S 9+ 64 gig with Verizon for the first six cents and 39 dollars, which is cheaper than Best Buy however it's still not as inexpensive as olx or cashify was and buying a refurbished model is probably the best method to purchase a used device however for me, I'd rather have the cheaper cost and risk so swap ID is the one that appeals to me. The price was lowest and although it's not backed by an assurance, the seller appears to have sold items previously on this site and has really good reviews and I feel good about the purchase, so I'm going to swap it out for this one. I'll waive that whole guarantee so if something goes wrong it's my fault but what I'll be using gazelle to sell my old phone. It's not in great condition but I definitely want it recycled properly and I do not need it anymore, and so you'll be able to go to their site and enter your information if it has scratches and if it's on , and they'll give you a price they're gonna give you 10 bucks for the device as well as free shipping, which is a good thing. lunch at gazelle so let me know in the comments your favourite way to buy or sell your devices, and also, who's got the earliest phone out there anyone got me beat. Also, like and subscribe and we'll see you next time.
