Buy and Sell Old Phones

it's time to start admitting that I've been using that I had the s7 for 2 years now , and as someone that films the latest and most advanced technology everyday it's gotten me wanting an upgrade to my phone. The problem is that I don't want to shell out a thousand dollars and I don't necessarily need something that came out yesterday so I'm going to guide you on the best way to purchase a second hand phone. Hi, I'm Biden s9 plus now I am NOT going to give you a recommendation on what phone to buy and I'm sure you'll talk in the comments on your top devices and what you would purchase, but what I'm here to do is to provide you with the best purchasing practices for a used device the safest and most reliable methods before we go to that. However, you have to remember that phones are released in cycles and it is possible to choose better or less favorable times to buy certain devices so I hit up Chris Welch reporter here at the verge and I was similar to Chris is the best time to purchase an S 9 plus , and there's pretty clear timelines that can be drawn out. It's either a good or not to buy a phone new iPhones release in September, making your relationship can be violent when it's the month of July or August. Samsung launches its Galaxy S at the start of each year March or April. Then the phone is released in the summer. Google releases pixel updates in October in general Apple and Samsung both make changes to their design each year then in between there's an upgraded version of the phone with higher specs, as well as a more attractive camera. that that's what we call the S here so the question comes down to do you want the latest shiny design immediately or can you wait one year to experience the stronger and refined version of the similar phone. Google is different since the pixel usually hasn't been using its same style more than once. However, maybe you'd be totally happy with last year's phone you don't require an aural engine for browsing Instagram or a snapdragon 845 phone to listen to Spotify, in that situation, you're safe to buy the s9 plus now and since it's just a little over one year old, buying it second hand will save you at least $100 and still get you an excellent phone, so you're in luck because it's a great time to buy a used s9 plus, however where do you begin? There's a myriad of different options personally I always go to eBay and Craigslist first. Craigslist is a bit of a slippery slope if a phone is stolen, and you try to turn it on with the serial numbers flag to be stolen you'll lose the phone and cash and you'll have no connection to the seller, so in this video, I'm going to skip it entirely but let's explore eBay. eBay has a ton of listings and I went on Samsung's website to see what a brand new s 9 plus cost would be. It's about eight forty dollars, so I'm gonna try to beat that price to save my money I'll search by Verizon because that's my carrier there are numerous devices, but you'll have to do the research on your own to figure out if they'll work on your network. I've scanned through many listings and I found the one I think is the most appealing. It's a Samsung Galaxy S 9 plus 64 gigs for $549 . my taste. The phone looks great because the photos are very clear and I can see that there aren't any scratches on the phone. Wow they've got many five-star reviews with 760 positive reviews and only six negative ones when the seller has lots of good reviews such as this, it's an indicator that they're safe to buy from . Also, when I've been searching I've come across a number of stock photos used for the photo of the phones this is something you want to stay away from it's essential to be able to identify your device in the photos and perhaps that means calling the seller and asking for a photo of something particular to confirm that it's the device and that he has it . So $549 on the auction site that's pretty good but if you know anything about me you know I'm all about bargains so I'm going to keep looking. There's a site called Olx that I really like you're still buying from person-to-person, which means there's a level of risk but there's a lot more security measures in place to make sure that you're purchasing the that you're actually looking at there's a few listings of the S9 Plus the site. They range from 500-$800. The majority concerns the storage but I'm looking for 64 gigabytes so it's not a huge problem for me I'll be closer to the bottom and this one seems pretty good it's 514 dollars if you go through the images you'll see that there's an unidentified code that's one of the security features that swapper provides it represents the Sal's cellphone. So the phone you see in the image is the phone for that listing. to read the comments and then go in and I'll determine who the seller is if he sold things in the past, and followed the same steps as eBay okay so this looks quite good. Another safeguard is that SWAPO doesn't permit the sale of damaged or unusable phones now because you are buying used it does not come with a warranty so say down the road something goes wrong with your phone or it glitches out, you're responsible to repair it if you want a little assurance when purchasing a used phone you might be interested in refurbishing models. They have a warranty that if there's a flaw in the future, they'll repair the phone for you. You can buy reefers from various locations, including the manufacturer and your carrier, but there are also websites like gazelle and Best Buy and they often offer lower costs on these models. second hand mobile phones is a little confusing and trying to find refurbs but when you scroll all the way down to the bottom, where you'll see the words "buying options" there's a place where you can find them. and you can now purchase an open boxes online. It's a little more expensive or in the store they have cheaper alternatives, but that's likely due to the fact that they'd like you to actually look at it and know the item you're purchasing before leaving the store. So gazelle.com is certified used and here's an S 9 + 64 gig with Verizon for the first six hundred and thirty-nine dollars which is cheaper than Best Buy however it's still not as inexpensive as cashify or Olx were so buying a refurbished device is probably the best way to buy a used device, but I'd rather pay the lower price and risk, so swap ID is the one that appeals to me as the price was the lowest , and even though it's not covered by a guarantee the seller seems to have sold items on the site before and has a great reputation and I feel good about it so I'm gonna go and swap it with this one. I'm going to give up the guarantee altogether in case something goes wrong. I'm guessing it's me but what I will use gazelle for is to sell my old phone. It's not in good condition but I definitely want it to be properly recycled and no longer need it and so you'll be able to go to their website enter some info if it has scratches if it turns on , and they'll give you the price of you 10 bucks for the device and free shipping which is a good thing. lunch on gazelle all right so let me know in the comments section of your favourite way to buy and sell devices and who's got the oldest phone out there anyone got me beat.
