Ford F150 Grille Substitute Instructions<br>
Procedure: Replacing the stock 'honeycomb' grille with a Harley Davidson 'chrome' grille.

Getting rid of the grille border piece.



1. Remove the jack bar over the radiator

2. Eliminate the screws (They are plastic so I would use a hand screwdriver and also not power) from the plastic radiator cover



Some of my screws wouldn't unscrew, so I used upward stress with a flathead screwdriver and also it worked with the majority of them. I damaged one off even if I could not get it out. When I put the screws back in, I simply used hand stress and also I didn't need to use a screwdriver. I could need to change these with metal screws!

3. Eliminate the corner vehicle parking lights. They are hung on by one celebrity screw from inside the hood. A small level head could be made use of if you do not have the right devices.





4. Get rid of all the screws that hang on the Grille surround body component. Many get on top under the plastic radiator cover you eliminated and also 2 lag the edge lights you eliminated.

5. Now here is the biggest discomfort. Under the Grille surround you have a plastic shroud that's hung on by plastic pins that go in easy, but not out easy. I utilized a level head screwdriver as well as eliminated the two from the sides that attach to the fender. The pins might obtain a little ruined but I had the ability to reuse mine.



You only need to eliminate 2 from each side. Don't remove the pins that remain in the center of the border. These were a HUGE pain in the ass for me. I ended up mutilating my pins and scraped up my bumper a little. I did not like this action one bit! I had the ability to put them back in ok.



6. Under of the grille surround somewhere in the center you will see 2 long pieces attaching the bottom of the grille border to a part of the framework. It's held on by a clip you should be able to squeeze to launch.

You have to get to down, behind the grills and pull upwards on the tiny plastic clips. Then draw the grille surround in an outward direction from the vehicle.



7. Currently you should be able to remove the whole grille border with grille included.

1. I first added some lube to the plastic clips that hold the grille on. I after that made use of a level head screwdriver to tear the clips open. Beware considering that the clips can damage if you pry as well tough

2. Once it's remove you require to remove the FORD oval and also place in on the brand-new grille (Note: Mine came with an oval, so I missed this step).



3. I after that added more lube to the new grille piece so it's simple to set up back on the grille border.



4. Check to make sure all clips are tight prior to placing the grille border back on the vehicle. Don't what to take it off once again.

This was a little bit more involved than I believed it would certainly be, however the results deserve it. I'm not looking foward to doing it again when I mount my haze lights behind that grille!
