The times are challenging. In the new gig economy is one that I'm having a hard time to navigate the same way as I did before. I was doing very well prior to the pandemic and now, as well as my main job as dental assistant I need to take on a night-time job as a security guard at the nearby manufacturing facility for machines. It is mostly automated. Workers are available throughout the day, and I am only part of the night team. I've got an emergency telephone number that I can dial in case there's an issue or machinery stops. After that, I call engineers or the outside line to get more engineers. I do nothing. They aren't even producing anything here therefore night guard is simply a glorified switchboard operator.
However I like it. It's quiet. I'm an extremely spooky sleeper. I frequently wake up due to too much gas release in the night. But here, I'm thriving. It's a bit dull at night and I'm constantly trying to get it to go faster. I've spent the last 2 weeks perfecting the dance that I saw in Tik Tok. While it's not too difficult, it's extremely difficult for me to recreate the dance. It was invented by an untrained Tik Tok girl. I'm old and don't know how to explain this kind of thing.
I've been experimenting with new car fixing videos in the last few months. While I don’t know how to apply these methods on my car right away I do like watching others repair their vehicles. This is the same for DIY videos, - they're usually informative and enjoyable to view. That's when I realized there was a problem. My internet was not working fast enough to allow me to be able to view any content or use the internet in any other way. I learned how to download Youtube videos onto my mobile. Then, while internet was gone for hours, I was able to quickly watch DIY videos from my phone. You are able to view the video on your smartphone regardless of whether it's streaming from Youtube or somewhere else online. If you download videos at work, you are able to view it from your phone even if you don't have internet access. It's easy to set up a DVR for streaming online videos, and not just TV shows.
In the spirit of television I've found a way you can download the latest episodes or films straight onto your laptop. I began bringing my laptop to work, because it has much bigger screen and better speakers, which makes it better to stream TV shows there. I recently signed up with HULU. Now I'm on Netflix. It is possible to download the app, save it as downloaded, and leave it. Within a couple of hours, depending upon the length of the show and the quality options you chose, the video will be downloaded and made available to watch anytime, even with no internet connection. I'm even able to watch the TV while I commute to work. It's only 15 minutes, but it lets me watch one of the episodes I slept through last night.
You can also find other informative or interesting material at home, which you can carry with you when working. This will make your time fly by quicker. YouTube's webinars that cover different ways of self-improvement are great. However I find it difficult to follow along with the concepts that they cover in a one hour video. If you aren't convinced I'll explain. You'll get the idea.
Sometimes, I bring my son to work along with me. more info This is because my wife works her night shift, making it challenging for us to stay home with our child. I bring him along and place him at the computer screens to monitor my stuff. Within hours, he's asleep. When he wakes up, I bring him my laptop and some music videos, and he's enjoying the entertainment. This is the way we collaborate better when we do our thing. He seems to like having me around. Perhaps he's tired of staying up all the night.
