Youtube shows ads to my child while he watches baby shark videos and other channels similar to it.

This is the question I've been asking myself for the last two months since I started with my daughter's tablet with all the Youtube channels that are specifically designed specifically for infants. It is believed that they help babies grow, improve cognitive functions and other ones, and just stride forward both mentally and socially. I can tell that my daughter enjoys the content. She keeps her eyes open, and is laughing loudly and loves it. However, I do not comprehend all the commercial breaks. My child is not an individual consumer, so why do you insist on pushing sometimes not even baby-like advertisements on my child, Youtube?


First, babies don't understand commercials. It's both a loss in money as well as resources. They are not babies. It's not possible to claim that they understand so why insist on showing these advertisements? If the advertisements are played to fathers and mothers, or perhaps other baby-care givers do you think they are able to benefit? This is becoming annoying to me.

The same is true for cat videos. My cat loves all of these amazing cat videos. It's usually mice or birds but my cat is a sucker to sit and watch the videos for long periods of time. Perhaps hunting. The advertisements continue to interrupt these videos. And who are they trying to find? My cat has no interest in anything else than these videos. Advertisements aren't relevant to her. Maybe they're hoping that my cat will be watching the videos? They are in part correct, to be honest I have a tendency to watch the shammy cat videos with my cat more often than doing anything useful.

I have found a wonderful solution that I've been using lately. It it's about downloading Youtube videos onto my computer or tablet of my daughter and then playing them from there later; as if I was offline and required a more robust copy of the video on my hard drive, rather than streaming them over and over from Youtube. See what I mean? This site allows you to save video to your computer rather than accessing it via Youtube when your cat needs to watch birds. This means that I can simply double-click the mp4 file to save it to my desktop. Then it plays in VLC immediately, without ads , and then gets right into engaging my cat.

Similar process applies to all those videos of babies and videos on video channels. Simply find the videos that my daughter likes to watch and then download them onto my computer, and then copy them to my table. Sometimes, it's only one or two songs. If the videos are large, I copy them onto her tablet. It turned out to be an excellent method for saving data from mobile devices. Before downloading videos from Youtube, I was unsure of how to save mobile data.

I truly hope that you liked my suggestions and tricks for a data- and Internet rich household. It may sound ridiculous.
