Bring your laptop, tablet, and sometimes your smartphone to the campsite with your children.

This is something I've learned by trial and error. My mother was there to remind me to be ready for anything. I shared my excitement about going on my first camping trip ever with my kids and her grandkids. Then she came in talking and puffing out instructions and advice on every scenario. My mom's voice is fine for me, but listening to her lecture can be uncomfortable. I tried to finish the work more quickly than I was. I made a huge mistake , and I realized the next day, or two, was the fault of me.


We left with our car and set off to get to the campsite. I wanted to recreate the same rustic experience as my father, so I chose one remote place, which turned out to be located in a huge no-service zone. This meant that our phones were not working and we were the only campers in the area. I'm not complaining I was expecting to have a wonderful camping experience..

What was the situation? There was no Internet or bars, nothing. I carried my laptop in my bag but it couldn't get into the bag. I had a gorgeous backdrop to show the trees. Their sole purpose was to check their messages, their emails, and keep track of school activities, etc. I couldn't bear this anymore and we packed for the way back. My kids were sounding exactly like little piglets consuming delicious food items when we left the wifi-less area. My kids are awesome. This was an embarrassing incident. They were shocked and moaned as their phones began ringing and announced the arrival of texts.

Since then, I've learned how to prepare better and try not to go through an internet-less zone, with only a few roaming. When we took an extremely long boat ride to our destination, I discovered myself in need of my new most trusted companions with two tablets and laptop. They had Hulu online video downloads on one side, Netflix movies, and shows on the other. The laptop also had music videos as well with some films that I have downloaded to view later on Hulu as well as Netflix apps through the Windows app store. click here I've got 600 hours of content, including the full seasons of Will & Grace, Friends, South Park and other episodes.

I have lots of videos with funny stuff for children. I downloaded some Youtube music videos, and converted some to MP3 format. I discovered this app that allows me download video directly to my laptop. This allows me to play the videos offline at anytime I want so long as I have electricity. I record a lot of TV shows, movies as well as Online Lectures. These videos I save in MP4 on my laptop. Later I just play them using VLC, KMP, or virtually any video file that supports 4k.

4k is another important thing that I insist on. You've seen it? The video is clear and incredible. I highly recommend it. Televisions that have 4K resolution come with an excellent program which process the video and enhance the quality of it. Older video appears better on a TV. Although it's not excellent, it can be transformed into a sleek, modern video stream. Highly recommended to all boys and girls.
