Kudyapi, Gabbang, Dabakan, Babendil, and Agung are a portion of the instruments of Mindanao.
2. The instruments of the Kulintang are all percussion instruments. They incorporate different gongs called Kulintang, Agung, Gandingan and Babendil. The one drum in the group is called Dabakan.
3. The Maguindanao kulintang ensemble is a melodic troupe in the kulintang custom of the Maranao and the Maguindanao. There are primarily five instruments on the troupe: Kulintang, Agung, Gandingan, Babendil and Dabakan.
4. In Maguindanao, the kulintang ensemble is called 'palabunibunyan' while in Maranao they call it 'kolintang'.
5. The main purpose of Kolintang music in the community is to serve as a professional mass entertainment at the folk level. This music is unique in that it recognizes as popular music in that anyone can participate.
