美國第二大鞋類品牌“斯凱奇”：中國供應商沒有強制勞工
據中國日報消息，在瑞典H&M公司、美國耐克公司等一眾西方服裝品牌抹黑新疆棉花的時候，美國休閑運動品牌斯凱奇（SKECHERS）卻並沒有同流合污。斯凱奇3月份發表的《斯凱奇關於維吾爾人的聲明》明確指出，該公司對中國供應商進行獨立調查後，並沒有發現所謂的“強制勞工”。值得註意的是，這則聲明發表在該公司官網的時間在3月12日之前，早於H&M引發的風波。
斯凱奇的調查包括瞭ASPI報告中提到的東莞綠洲鞋業有限公司，但聲明指出，“得知有關報告後，斯凱奇立即進行瞭確認，並得知綠洲鞋業和所有工廠及供應商一樣，知曉並遵守我司有關規定”。
斯凱奇的聲明還提及，公司在2017年、2018年、2019年和2020年，均針對綠洲鞋業進行瞭公開和非公開的常規審查，沒有一次發現該企業存在被指控的所謂“強制勞動”情況。
根據聲明，斯凱奇稱綠洲鞋業的雇員中確實有維吾爾人，但他們的工作環境和條件與漢族員工沒有不同。並且，包括維吾爾人在內的所有工人，如果不想繼續在綠洲鞋業工作，可以自由離職。
