The A - Z Of IPhone Gaming Controllers
You will be having to choose between the low, medium and high-end controllers for your iPhone. The list I provide is not a final list but it's an easy and concise explanation of what you can get and how to access it, where to find it, and how it functions.

(Any of the links to the controller are affiliate links and they aid the site, so we thank you for using the links).

Budget Friendly - Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller
This controller was among the first controllers I ever bought and enjoyed it! I was not a fan to use the Xbox controller or Playstation because of the fact that I am a frequent player on consoles, and having to sync every time I switched was going to be a huge irritation.

Best iPhone gaming controllers
The Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller enabled me to keep my console gaming separated with my gaming on mobile. The wire connection made it a separate device and instant in connecting to my iPhone. My only complaint with it was that larger models of the iPhone, such as Pro Max versions iPhone Pro Max versions weren't too comfortable to play for long periods of time.

The buttons are decent enough but they won't be able to be able to compete with an Xbox or DualShock controller in the button department. If you're not averse to synchronizing and switching between your console and mobile device or don't have a console than I suggest taking this controller off and buying a dedicated console controller equipped with an adapter clamp which allows you to attach your iPhone to your preferred controller.

Mid-tier: SteelSeries Nimbus+
This is a controller that lets you switch between it can switch between your Mac, Apple TV, and iPhone or iPad quickly since it's wireless. It is pricier than the Riot Gamepad from Rotor, but it is an improved build and is wireless. I think it's a worthy selection in the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list due to its versatility as well as its design and price. I do say I prefer the none symmetrical joystick design.

High-Tier: Razer Kishi & Backbone One
We got two controllers in the high end tier of this best iPhone gaming controllers list and I got to say they're roughly the same cost, based on what sales Amazon might be doing, but both have excellent design and build quality. They are the near as you will ever attain portability and perfect.

Razer Kishi
Razer Kishi for iOS – Lightning (Not the USB C version)
My personal preference to satisfy the iPhone gaming needs, with a controller due to the flexibility of the controller. The right joystick can be a little strange in its position compared to my smaller-medium hand and the d-pad can be a bit weird so getting comfortable with it is something you will have to work on. I chose this controller in preference to one like the Backbone One even though it was not as good due to the fact that it folds up into a compact shape so that I can slide it into the backpack of any size or pocket for travel.

Razer Kishi Folded

It is extremely compact and ideal for gaming on the go. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it's working flawlessly. The controller will fit pretty much every modern iPhone including the Mini series, so don't fret about it not being a good fit. Last thing you should know is that this controller comes in two different versions 1. for iOS and 2. for Android with USB C. PS: It works with Xbox Game Pass and OpenEmulator for iPhone.

Backbone One
Backbone One
This is another high end option for the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list and I'll tell you that I almost went for this one rather than the Razer Kishi due to the fact that this controller has better Joystick position and a heavier and more firm to it. This gives it feel a little better "pro" gaming feeling, however, the design isn't my favorite. However, you have to decide the one that is portable more than quality, or quality over mobility?

I know this device has an application launcher software for games that's pretty cool, but in my opinion it is a gimmick and wouldn't take it into consideration when deciding between this model and Razer Kishi.

I would still suggest this product based on what I've researched and discovered that it's an excellent choice and it just personal preference that separates this Backbone One and the Razer Kishi because both cost about $100. PS Endwar is compatible in conjunction with Xbox Game Pass

The most sensible option...
In reality, if you wish to achieve the ideal balance between budget-friendly and build quality it is much better to not pay more than 60 dollars for your controller and purchase the official controller from Xbox or PlayStation using the DualShock. They are wireless and the build quality is something even these $100 controllers cannot compete with, but these do beat the official console controllers in terms of portability.

Xbox Controller
The Xbox controller is the best value and balance of quality, but before I let you go, there are some things you should know about the use of an Xbox controller with an iPhone 1. this article will not work on the Elite Series 2 and the Elite Series 1 doesn't have Bluetooth to it won't function. The different Bluetooth contemporary Xbox controllers will work just well.

PlayStation Dual Shock Controller
This controller is tried and tested for compatibility with Emulators and almost anything game-related in iOS however, the latest PS5 controller won't support the adaptive triggers due to Sony not permitting it. Both PS4 version as well as the PS5 version controllers are compatible great with iPhone.
