Testing at have a peek at this site is showing us the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox Series X|S FPS Boost is taking the game to 4K - 60 FPS when played on an Xbox Series X. ARK Survival Evolved Xbox Series X is a nice reward for the next generation owners as well as future owners since it is always improving the Xbox Series X|S a better deal by the pass of days.
The Xbox Series S is not as stunning, delivering us 900p - at 30 FPS with Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox Series X|S FPS Boost update and since the game has not received an optimized for Xbox Series X|S update, which would bring the resolution of this game to the Xbox Series S to a greater level since it's operating on the Xbox One S settings, but none the less it's a welcome upgrade for free just in case we don't get an optimized Xbox Series X|S upgrade or remaster down the road.
The Xbox One X has the identical game settings as the Xbox Series X which are higher resolution and performance mode. Both on the Xbox Series X are giving us 60 FPS, with the performance mode giving 1080p which mode I don't recommend playing on unless you absolutely need 60 FPS, or you don't have a VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to compensate for those flaws.
I personally don't worry to much about it as I have VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) TV, however even if it wasn't I wouldn't bother about it as the game does not drop the FPS often , and this is not a competitive game , therefore the drops aren't that important.
As a side note, VRR wouldn't be enough if it dropped below 50 FPS frequently, since VRR could mask drops of 60 to 50 FPS but not lower than that or else it would not make a difference; yet drops of this kind are extremely rare.
There will be no graphical updates as it's a behind the scenes improvement to FPS only. I tried the loading, and there was no change.
Streaming Live Academy : I bought this game in a sale, but I did not play it until it came out through the Xbox Game Pass which made me feel foolish that I did not wait. I have gotten over it as it did end up leaving it and I want to own my games as much as I can except the Microsoft first party ones since they will be in the Xbox Game Pass indefinitely cause Microsoft owns the studio.
