I'm not one to over interpret things, but one could argue that waves symbolize the edge of our limitations (or also our "barrier"). For example, humans at one point could only breathe air therefore we were restricted to only the land. It seemed ridiculous to live out or survive at sea or even space for that matter. Knowing as technology advanced and we learned to "breathe" underwater by submarine and etc. shows how we as a human race have no boundaries. To be clear, i believe waves symbolize the boundaries we break because at the beach we put our curiosity in them by swimming. Besides the risks, some people will go in the wave despite bad outcomes, whether one is naive, ignorant or adventurous a wave shows how us humans take chances and shatter boundaries.
1. I am glad to see the other comments view individuality as far more important than a group. Obviously, in middle school, groups are made based upon the "nerds" "popular" "smart" "special" and so on. Especially amongst the popular groups i personally know of people who kiss up and try to copy their actions to be a part of the group. With that, it makes them look like a complete mockery of themself to other kids and the group said person tries to fit into. Therefore making ones own sense of style to be more vital later in life.

2. Mostly comparable to #1, without school, there would ultimately be no groups. As far as this question, school is a packed house of people all different. In example, lets say each person is a different color, once you mix them up it becomes less and less colors which represent your groups. With less colors you have less creativity and vastness of difference.

3. Ill admit being apart of the basketball team this year for middle school felt great. Having a lot of the well known kids really gave me a boost on "social status". Especially the large crowd at home games felt very empowering to have a crowd focused on you and only you.However, despite it feeling so great for me, I know how most kids felt when they were cut from ANY sports team. I got blessed this time and was my first lick of success. I know many people who despise of kids on my team but i cant say i ever was discriminated for being arrogant because i know my place.

4. Ethier a group is formed to isolate people from others they don't like or to make one because everyone else is. In the point of making one because everyone else is, if you cant join a group you want people will create their own to fit in and say they have a group. If you think about it, middle school and high school is basically collage. Their like sororitys or frat houses. Their are groups for all typical groups. Overall, the purpose of the group is to show you have another thing you own to put on a resume of your life.
