Lion shivered, today was the day. His parents had been training Lion snd his two other siblings for this day since the second the kittens were born. Raised without empathy and only on the instinct to kill, Lion was the only different cat in their family.

*Rule 36: Empathy is a fool's game.*

Looking at their siblings, Bear and Hawk were model warriors. Ruthless, brutal, and, of course, without empathy. All the hopes Rockheart and Eagleclaw had for the first born and strongest kit, Lion, though Lion wasn't anything special and his parents reminded him of it ever day.

"Useless! Why did we ever keep you!"

"Can't you be more like your brother and sister?"

"Why are you so **worthless**"

*Rule 53: Anything Bear and Hawk can do you should be able to do.*

"Lion!" Eagleclaw snarled. "Snap out of it!"

Lion flinched expecting the familiar clawful attack to come there way, but the sting of pain never came. Opening an eye timidly Lion looked at his mother. Eagleclaw rolled her sharp green eyes

"Bear and Hawk are already ready. Why are you standing around. I want two of you dead." Eagleclaw growled lashing her tipped tail.

"I-I'm ready." The six moon old kitten stammered curling his tail around himself tightly.

*Rule 78: When in doubt, lie.*

This wouldn't be the first time Lion was forced to fight his siblings, but it would be the last. Either he would come out on top... Or he wouldn't.

"Ready to lose, dearest brother?" Bear snarled. Bear was always the strongest. There was not a doubt in Lion's mind that his sister would win. Actually there was one doubt, which other kitten would kill Lion.

"Begin." Rockheart mewed sitting besides his mate, the pair of them groomed nicely and looking down at their kits in disgust.

*Rule 92: If in trouble, flee.*

And that's exactly what Lion did. Turned tail and ran as quickly as possible. Bear always liked a chase. Sprinting after her weak brother the kitten pounced sending them both tumbling down to the ground.

And in a flash of claws and blood, Lion laid limply the life draining out of him. A pitiful hiss at his sister was all more the cat could do as his sister stalked off blood staining her claws.

*Rule 100: Don't lose.*
