Top Summer Clothing Tips
As the summer winds down and the autumn showers start to pour we can once again look forward to an exciting period in women's clothing as brands like ASOS, Calvin Klein, Diesel and Tom Ford launch new ranges. British designer Anne Hathaway took time out from her holiday to launch a range of hot plus size outfits for next season. We take a brief look at some of the hottest items in her collection:

As well as womens jackets, boots, sweaters and cardigans Anne Hathaway's womens dresses are stylish and chic. These come in various materials and fabrics including silk, cotton, chiffon, velvet and mesh. The dresses are often embellished with hand-sewn embroidery. The various colors range from bright to pastel so can suit a variety of complexion and figure.

The range of shoes from Prada to Gucci is very impressive. With a reputation for making fashion statements with a bold statement, the Italian brand continues to be a great global favourite. One of the most popular silhouettes from the brand is the slim summer sandal. This cool looking shoe is from the latest summer collection and comes in either knee high or ankle length styles. The metallic finish offers a modern edge to this elegant piece of womens clothing.

Another summer trend that is hot all year round is flip flops. They are great with the beach and can be paired with a variety of outfits. The most popular brands of flip flops include Prada, Christian Louboutin, Fendi and others. For the more adventurous there are models made from corduroy, leather and even canvas which have become very fashionable in recent years.

Fashionable and glamorous footwear has also become popular with young girls. The brands that manufacture them are only second best to the likes of Burberry and Dior but offer some excellent alternatives. This is especially true when it comes to casual women's clothing. The styles range from sneakers to sandals and from trainers to stilettos. With all the options there is for today's girl, it is no wonder that many prefer these brands over the competition.


It is perhaps for this reason that the trends for the summer are largely dominated by women's clothing. The dresses are generally shorter and more lightweight, often made from textiles to give a fresh look. The tops range from strapless to short sleeves, again depending on the season. There is also a trend towards multi-tier outfits which combine different fabrics, colours and prints in a way that makes a statement about how the wearer looks. The dresses look great when worn with the matching cardigans, or matched with leggings or shorts. Other items of clothing to invest in for the summer are beachwear such as bikinis and sarongs.

The ideal summer outfit is probably somewhere in between these two extremes. A short sleeve shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of sandals or flip flops should ideally be topped off with some bright, colourful shoes or a cardigan. A good pair of shoes will certainly help with the look of the summer clothes, helping it stand out from the other seasonal clothing around. If the summer wardrobe contains too much of the same item of clothing it will tend to get messy and look untidy. Instead, try and mix and match a few items of clothing to give a fresh look to each outfit. And remember that a little goes a long way so keep a few extra accessories in your bag for those spur of the moment outfits!
