Суть состоит в том, что часы могут определять объем крови, который проходит через запястье в определенный промежуток времени. Кровь, как известно, видна нам в красном цвете, потому что полностью отражает красный цвет и с такой же интенсивностью поглощает зеленый. Поэтому при большом количестве поступающей крови в момент сокращения сердечной мышцы показатель поглощаемости возрастает, а в момент оттока крови, соответственно, уменьшается.
