Ketua Pokja III TP PKK Kelurahan Sunter Jaya, Sri Musniati mengatakan, kangkung yang dipanen merupakan hasil pertanian perkotaan (urban farming) yang ditanam secara hidroponik. Proses penanaman kangkung hidroponik ini memakan waktu sekitar satu bulan.
"Hari ini kami panen kangkung hidroponik sebanyak empat kilogram," ujar Yati, panggilan akrabnya, dikutip dari Beritajakarta.id.
Yati mengatakan, kegiatan panen di RPTRA Danau Sunter termasuk bagian dari program Hatinya PKK. Kegiatan ini untuk memotivasi para kader PKK Sunter Jaya dan pengelola RPTRA Danau Sunter supaya lebih semangat dan tekun memanfaatkan lahan dengan menanam sayuran secara hidroponik.
"Ini upaya menciptakan ketahanan pangan di masa pandemi. Hortikultura Hortikultura Dengan terus menanam selain dapat mewujudkan ketahanan pangan juga bisa meningkatkan perekonomian warga," ujarnya.
Dia mengatakan, hasil panen kangkung hidroponik tersebut selanjutnya dijual, antara lain ke kader PKK dan warga sekitar. Uang hasil penjualan kangkung digunakan kembali untuk membeli bibit tanaman.
"Kangkungnya dijual dengan harga Rp 20 ribu per kilogram," tandasnya.
