Notes

chapter one:
- they go through the portal after Mikey and encounter, in order: the strange gravity, electro pillars, and rocktopus. As they're being chased by rocktopus, they encounter mikey

chapter two:
- mikey defeats rocktopus and they have their reunion. he tells them he's been in dimension x for a month or two at most, but donnie thinks something is off, though he can't put his hand on what
- mikey leads them to the structure, which he confirms is where leatherhead is being held
- they come up with a plan to defeat Traag and granitor that requires, essentially, donnie raph and Leo to act as bait and distraction while mikey takes them out. mikey finally reveals just how long he's been trapped there

chapter three:
- they find leatherhead. he explains what the facility is and what they must do
- they are able to destroy the facility, taking out thousands of kraangdroids and setting the Kraang back. mikey also grabs a power crystal for donnie's mech

chapter four:
- they agree to put leatherhead up for a while, and they go home. they decide to hold a family meeting tomorrow. in the meantime, they go home and mikey finally breaks down when he sees splinter. splinter and karai know something's up but agree to wait to hear the explanation with April and casey tomorrow
- they force mikey into the shower, then to the kitchen for food, then to bed, and donnie's more glad than ever they share a room now. he's exhausted enough to sleep, too, but when he wakes up a few hours later, Leo, raph, and karai are lounging around the room, like, keeping watch

chapter five:
- they call April and casey down, and they explain what happened. everyone is of course horrified for mikey and he gets lots of hugs. then they decide to plan
- donnie brings them to the lab to show them his progress on the mech, and he and Leo get into an argument about their game plan. they eventually work it out and come to a compromise after Leo reveals why he wants to leave
- April and casey reveal they want to tell their families what's coming. April's dad won't be difficult to convince, but casey gets permission from splinter and Leo to expose the hamatos in order to convince his dad

chapter six:
- capritello go. they head for kirby first because he already knows about them, and he has like a whole nervous breakdown but they calm him down and he agrees to let them stay at the farmhouse. he wants to join them there, but April points out that Kendra won't leave the city by herself, so kirby agrees to take her somewhere. casey suggests California, since that's where he's planning to send his own family, and they agree to a rough plan: kirby will go to the farmhouse the next day to get things set up (including making sure they have water, electricity, heat, and food) and then will go talk to his sister
- then Casey's dad. he knows about April and casey being in a relationship and is glad to see them. they start with Casey's vigilante shit, since Michael kind of knew about that already. casey confirms he's been fighting mutants, but then mentions the Kraang and says the Hamatos have been keeping the city safe and have become like a family to him. they introduce him to donnie and at first Michael's freaking out of course, but they keep him calm and he agrees to hear donnie out, and it helps that jasper is absolutely obsessed with donnie. it takes some effort to convince Michael to let casey stay behind, but after he hears about the farmhouse, he does, and he agrees to take jasper to his parents' house in California asap.
- with their families taken care of, that's a weight off of April's and Casey's shoulders, and they go have a cute moment on the rooftops where they comfort each other and agree to watch out for each other and make each other promise not to die.
