These 12 tricks will enhance your flirting skills

Flirting doesn't come easily to everyone. Even the most confident people can freeze up and utter a "hey" when their crush approaches in the hallways. But don't be discouraged. If you have trouble flirting, there are plenty of tips that will help you master the art and win your crush's affection.

1. Be confident. There is nothing more sexy than confidence. If you are strutting down the hallways like you own them, your crush (and everyone else!) will notice. Your crush will want you to get to know the girl who believes she's special.

2. Show you're interested in their life. Everyone loves a compliment, and most people love to talk about themselves. Talk to your crush if you have the opportunity. Ask them lots of questions about their life and show that you truly are interested. They will be impressed by how curious and interested you are in them.

3. Your lips should be the focus of attention. It may sound absurd but it is actually very effective. Keep chapstick and lip gloss handy. Apply a layer of lip gloss to your lips when you notice your crush approaching. You'll have them imagining those lips all day.

4. If you pass someone in the halls, smile and say hi. It can be terrifying to see your crush walking down the hall. You will likely react by looking down at your phone, pretending you are in a frantic text conversation. But ignore these instincts and look up at them. No need to get into a big conversation (unless you want to!). Just take a half-second to wave, say hi, then keep moving. Boom--you will be on your crush's radar.

5. But don't forget your crush...for too long. It seems counterintuitive, right? Imagine running into your crush at McDonald's with a group of their friends. It's a good idea to say hi to their friends before you start to make a group. hindi status will be a bit disappointed, but you can make it up for it by including them (and making their day).

6. Learn how to master the bump-and flatter. You may "accidentally" bump into a hottie at an event. You can make a joke and say "Oh sorry." I become a total klutz around cute people." They'll be so impressed by you and want to know more. This is when you introduce yourself to them and begin a conversation.

7. They will be able to see you staring at them. It seems very scary. When someone notices you staring at them, they usually turn away quickly to not realize you were actually eating a hamburger. This is what you should do next time. Get all of your confidence. Smile at your crush and smile back, perhaps even wink, when they catch you staring at you. It will prove that you're confident AF and will give them the excuse to come talk to you.

8. Look at what they are wearing. Ask them about the sport shirt or band shirt they are wearing. It will make you seem sincere and interested in their life, and it will start a nice conversation where you can learn more about each other.

9. Sometimes it's important to be obvious. Perhaps you are playing frisbee outside and accidentally toss it at the cute girls nearby. You can make a joke of it and let them know you're trying to flirt.

Face, Hair, Eyebrows and Photograph.

10. Introduce your friend. If you're not comfortable starting a convo by yourself, take your friend along. It may sound odd, but it can sometimes be easier to approach someone in a different way.

11. You should flirt before you meet them. Text your crush, "You should be wearing that blue shirt tonight. It will make your eyes shine! :) A flirty message lets them know you are thinking of them and makes them want to see you again. Also, it's a great way to see if your advice was taken.

12. To start the conversation, you can use something light and cheesy. If you are thinking about picking up lines, the only ones coming to your door are likely super lame, recycled ones. "Did it hurt...when you fell from heaven?" Or: How much does an elephant weigh? Just enough to ice the conversation! If you're trying to play it smooth but you're coming up short, embrace the awkwardness and just be cute as hell. Jughead Jones would be grateful.
