Gnome memiliki nama latin Gernumbli Gardensi

Gnome dapat mencapai ukuran sekitar satu kaki (lebih kecil dari Erkling). Biasanya berwarna coklat dan memiliki kepala tidak proporsional yang ukurannya besar, membuat mereka terlihat seperti kentang berkaki.
Gnome adalah satwa gaib yang memiliki hobi merusak kebun/tanaman. Sebenarnya gnome merupakan satwa yang bisa digunakan untuk merawat kebun para penyihir bila diawasi penyihir langsung, akan tetapi karena mereka memiliki intelegensi yang rendah maka mereka cenderung mengacau.
Cara mengusir Gnome adalah dengan memutar-mutar mereka melewati kebun atau bisa juga dengan Jarvey (satwa gaib menyerupai musang yang dapat berbicara dan pemangsa gnome), namun beberapa penyihir beranggapan bahwa cara ini terlalu brutal.
Air liur gnome bisa membuat pita suara dan juga tenggorokan si peminum menjadi jernih dan suaranya menjadi sangat merdu juga tinggi dan nyaring.
Gnome juga dapat bersuara dan mengatakan "Gerroff me" atau yang berarti "lepaskan aku".
Gnome hidup di liang bawah tanah, yang dikenal sebagai gnomeholes (lubang gnome) di mana mereka akan menggali dan makan akar tanaman.
