Traveling with kids is challenging. It's not possible to trust the internet to climb an mountain. I like to cook at home.


Yes I said it.. My children have a hard time with it, they think that the wifi on the at the top of the mountain is weak.. Even though it's not huge it isn't within normal range of cell networks. My children must look around for better internet connectivity while my wife and I set up up small camping sites. We intend to stay here for a few days. The nearby creek provides fresh water. Yes, that too.. My wife can't camp without a good supply of clean water, so we bring out own most of the times.


My children are now returning to social media, while I'm admiring the view. While this hill isn't huge however, it's located in the vicinity of many larger ones. In order to be closer to nature, we visit here only once in a blue Moon. These trips are my favorite and I'm the only one who loves these excursions. My wife insists that we do this. Maybe she's aware of the pleasure I get from being in the wild. But my children, - they're different completely. Internet sometimes goes down. Something in the clouds or other magnetic movement can disrupt your streaming for a minute or two before it resumes. It's annoying for me, even when it occurs frequently.


After a few journeys that were without internet access and our regular internet was constantly dropping between a few and a couple of hours We decided to be prepared. We, and I am referring to my wife and myself here, decided to prepare for the possibility that they, our kids, will have no internet access for more than 10 minutes.. We created two sources of entertainment we could access when the internet isn't working during our camping trips. Another was a tablet that contained music videos and charts. Our favorite Youtube MP3 converter was able to take songs from YouTube videos, transform to an MP3 format and then download the songs onto the tablet. It was also able to work with playlists so it was quite fast, despite it sounding awful. Now you can listen to music or videos when you're bored. This is fantastic, right? The item is silent.

The second tablet was mostly animated cartoons as well as TV shows we downloaded through Hulu as well as Netflix. These videos were copied from Youtube and converted to MP4 then downloaded to my tablet. It's much easier to have video on your tablet when you're at work and don't want to wait for videos to play.


These 2 tricks help keep my children entertained during four of our camping trips. They're not afraid of leaving the house any more as they are aware that tablets 2 can help them get through boring downtime, and they'll return it home when they're ready. It's everything I've ever wanted - being with my loved ones.
