"Love is a very powerful thing, it can make people, it can break people. It can make people forget who they are, and yet it can make that person who they are. Love is something that cannot be taken lightly, nor can it be taken seriously; it's a exemplary balance of trust, fun and in it's pure form; lust." Moving from the front of the class, Rukia sat back down on her chair; letting out a small sigh of relief as she included her opinion on what 'love' really is - the class had been studying a classic; 'Romeo and Juliet', compiled by William Shakespeare - happy that she had proven her point, she brushed a stray hair out of her face and sneaked down to her bag to check her mobile phone - the reason why?, she was expecting a text message from her 'penpal' called Ichigo; or that's what her so called friends called him - seeing her phone light up with a message that said 'I love you' as simple as it was, the meaning behind it caused the butterflies in her stomach to run amok.

Slipping the phone out of her bag and behind the desk, she replied; 'Shut up you idiot, I'm trying to do work...the teacher is busy at the moment, but we've to do an essay on what 'love' is; and to be honest with you, I'm sick of all these generic answers that Romeo and Juliet is the best love story ever. When it's obviously not...anyway, sorry for rambling; shouldn't you be at School?' Putting the phone on her lap, she picked up her pen and started scribbling away about the dynamics of love, the boundaries and why Romeo and Juliet was NOT the best love story in the world, and was in fact a romanticized event of several deaths and suicides.

Hearing her phone vibrate again she knew exactly whom the text message was from; It was from Ichigo. After almost 2 years of constant chatting, texting, skyping and other various things it had became clear to her that this boy...this now man, was deeply in love with her, and she too had the same feelings. It was almost too good to be true, right? Well, that is in fact correct. You may ask yourself why these two are not together and why don't they simply have a scene from a cheesy romantic comedy such as 'The Proposal'; as cliched, the two always fall in love and stay together in a constant bliss of a 'happy ever after'. But it wasn't that easy. What stood in the way of the two's love, was the ever seeming growing distance, and to be precise...almost three thousand miles of it.

'Shouldn't you be here with me?~' He had texted back; she always knew that Ichigo was somewhat a little on the cocky side; but this was a part of him that she had fell deeply in love with - any picture that the two of them had shared between each other always made her blush; his bright orange hair, tanned skin, well defined frame...the list could go on about all the things Rukia was attracted to in Ichigo.
