The kinds of outfits that don’t show up often in your everyday anime sequence. Half of them are fat, and the other half have cheap or horribly costumes.

E. Smith as Northwest Smith (from C. https://cosplayspa.com/product/yuno-gasai-black/ L. Moore's collection of short tales) and both Ackerman and Douglas sporting their futuristicostumes again. Masquerades and costume balls continued to be part of World Science Fiction Convention custom thereafter.
However, members of the Liverpool Science Fantasy Society attended the first Cytricon , in Kettering, sporting costumes and continued to do so in subsequent years. The fifteenth Worldcon brought the primary official conference masquerade to the UK. Fan costuming caught on, nevertheless, and the 2nd Worldcon had each an unofficial masquerade held in Douglas' room and an official masquerade as a part of the programme. David Kyle won the masquerade carrying a Ming the Merciless costume created by Leslie Perri, whereas Robert A. W. Lowndes received second place with a Bar Senestro costume (from the novel The Blind Spot by Austin Hall and Homer Eon Flint).
The few that do not slot in either of these classes simply merely look silly.
Early Worldcon masquerade balls featured a band, dancing, food and drinks. Contestants either walked throughout a stage or a cleared area of the dance floor. It was inspired by and grew out of the apply of fan costuming at science fiction conventions, starting with Morojo's "PANCAKE" created for the 1st World Science Fiction Convention in New York City in 1939. Seeing as it’s so distinctive and the designers pay close consideration to help evensupportcharacters stand out. So with that mentioned, I’ll cover a variety of characters with simple, unique, flashy and colourful outfits.
