Hey, cuz! Thanks so much for sharing the pics. Everyone looks like they had a real good time, and i know Mom was so happy to see them all and catch up! Nice to see folks from Oakland there, too.

Russ just got back from visiting his mom (Battle Creek, MI), and I flew out to Phoenix this past August for a 3-day weekend. It was the same weekend that Isaac, Kate, Naomi and Gabe were there, so I went to see them as well. Naomi is so precious! Have you seen her yet? Kate is expecting their 2nd - sometime next May I believe.

Since Russ & I were back in Roanoke last Nov for mom's wedding and then in Battle Creek to spend Christmas w/ his mom, we're staying put for the holidays this year. I'll miss not seeing everyone, but I have to admit we're going to enjoy the relaxed, stress-free, no-running-in-airports, no-catching-colds-on-airplane holiday season. LOL I told Mom I'll out to Phoenix sometime in Feb next year since it's only an hour from LAX.

that's great. Thanks so much for sending. Yes, both Russ & I were there at the rehearsal dinner last year (some restaurant over there near Alpha daycare) when they sang this the first time. I recorded it on my iPhone. Yes, it would totally make the picture complete with Aunt Ann in the middle, and I know it's hard for you to see just the 4 of them together. Please give her my love next time you speak to her.

thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear that it was a source of conflict. I knew she had to be depressed given the context of her text message. But I hope things are better now that she's employed again. I'll let you know if she reaches out again.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mom said they're all driving out to Peaks of Otter late afternoon on Thursday to have dinner. They couldn't get a reservation until 5pm. I spoke to mom last night and told her to make sure they got out there about 3:30pm. That way, they'll have time to see how pretty that area is while there's still some daylight. I loved Peaks of Otter. Everytime we went there, it was always a breath of fresh air and gorgeous scenery! Have you ever been? Great hiking trail up to the top. Did it several times when Patti & I were kids.
