“Hopa Savcılığı, bugün basın ve yayın kuruluşlarına bir yazı göndererek, Başbakan Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın 31 Mayıs’ta Hopa’da yaptığı miting öncesi ve sonrasında olaylarda yaşamını yitiren Metin Lokumcu’nun cenaze töreninde çekilen, yayınlanmış ve yayınlanmamış tüm fotoğraf ve görüntüleri istedi.
Savcılık, 10 gün içerisinde yazısına yanıt verilmesini, verilmediyse bunun nedeninin bildirilmesini de talep ediyor.
Dahası, fotoğraf ve görüntüleri göndermeyenler hakkında Türk Ceza Kanunu’nun 257. maddesi uyarınca adli işlem yapılacağını vurguluyor.
Savcılığın, şunu bilmesi gerekmektedir; Gazeteciler, savcılığın personeli ya da olayları adli makamlara intikal ettirmek için maaş alan kolluk görevlileri değildir. Ellerindeki görüntüleri adli makamlara bildirme, iletme gibi bir yükümlülükleri yoktur.
Gazetecileri, izledikleri olayların tarafı, şikâyetçisi, jurnalcisi haline sokmaya yönelik bu tavır, Başbakan’ın ve hükümetin basına yönelik düşmanca ve taraflı tutumunun devamı niteliğindedir.
Türkiye Gazetecileri Hak ve Sorumluluk Bildirgesi’ne göre, gazeteciler her türlü baskıyı reddeder...”
Bizim yasalarda da yer alan gazeteciliğin evrensel kurallarını bilmek ve uygulamak zorundayız. Sivil dönemde askeri sıkıyönetim yasalarını uygulamak gibi yollara özenmek pek hoş değil...
