The media is currently covering #gamergate with a growing false narrative in an attempt to label it as some sort of hate group.
There are literally thousands of posts of civil discussion on the corruption in gaming journalism right now. In these communities there is absolutely zero tolerance for harassment, written in the rules plain and simple, instantaneously ban-able.

2.5 million tweets and pages upon pages of posting about Gamers concerns with the industry would all be dedicated to facilitating harassment? All while using public forums we all have access to where harassment is clearly outlawed?

MSNBC has (possibly unknowingly) helped propragate a lie. After many of these gaming journalists had evidence of corrupt behavior surface they became hostile and began insulting their fans and consumer base for their criticism. With their ethics in questions they started spinning a story about #gamergate to avoid being confronted for their own poor ethics.

These 10’s of thousands of people in these communities aren’t part of a massive façade, all these people certainly aren't part of a hate group. We’re all just pissed off gamers; consumers who have been betrayed by the media in our industry, the people who were supposed to stand up for us. Don’t take this infographics’ word for it, come see for yourself, our forums welcome anyone willing to abide by the civil rules.
